Devotees from both India and abroad are queuing up for the grand Kumbh Mela currently taking place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. They are performing sacred rituals and taking holy baths at the Triveni Sangam, along with conducting special prayers. Recently, 68 Hindu devotees from Pakistan also arrived in Prayagraj to take part in this sacred event. They performed the holy bath at Triveni Sangam and later conducted special prayers at the ghats. During this occasion, they made interesting remarks, mentioning that they came from the Sindh province. They shared that they came to India with the intention of not missing out on this rare sacred opportunity that only comes once in a lifetime.
They expressed that this grand event gave them the chance to understand the greatness of Hinduism more deeply for the first time. They also mentioned that they had gone to Haridwar to immerse the ashes of their ancestors in the Ganges. The Pakistani Hindus expressed their joy, saying that the feeling was wonderful. The Maha Kumbh Mela, which began on the 13th of last month, will continue until the 26th of this month. Authorities estimate that nearly 400 million devotees will attend the 45-day long Kumbh Mela. So far, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced that over 300 million devotees have already performed the holy baths.
